“As Senator Feinstein is laid to rest today, SEIU California’s 700,000 members join all Californians who are celebrating our beloved Senator’s lifetime of public service.
“Senator Feinstein will be forever remembered for breaking down barriers that long excluded women from the highest levels of politics and public service and for the more than three decades she devoted to serving California in the U.S. Senate with integrity and distinction.
“Senator Feinstein leaves behind a legacy that will endure for generations: the protection of California’s unparalleled natural beauty through the creation of national parks, a state made more resilient against floods and wildfires, and generations of children who have grown up with healthier lungs as a result of the groundbreaking fuel economy standards she championed.
