May 24, 2024 – We’re pleased to announce we overwhelmingly approved the Tentative Agreement (TA) with 100% of our votes, which includes across-the-board raises.

Because of our union power and strength in numbers, we were able to bargain above and beyond state law and bargain for adjustment increases to wages due to the issue of compaction, where lower paid classification gets paid the same or nearly the same or more than higher paid classification within the healthcare industry hierarchy of pay.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TA

  • All employees are to receive across-the-board raises in June instead of July.
  • Across-the-board raises range from 3.25% to 24.12% to begin to address compression issues
  • TA raises go above and beyond state healthcare minimum wage and contractual raises
  • New min wage of $18 for all classifications
  • New min wage of $21 for PCT’s, Ortho Techs, and Support service workers.

WHATS NEXT?

Pay raises will be effective starting the first week of June and you should see it in your paychecks on the first payday in June.

Many of our coworkers are asking about compaction for higher compensated workers/wages and increasing steps and we want to ensure that we have a plan to address those concerns and more soon.

Our union contract expires July 31, 2025 but we can start now to organize our coworkers in each department, floor, and facility to unite and to stand up to management for the changes we need to see in our wages, our union contract, and working conditions.
