Santa Clara County Office of Education: SAFE Classrooms Now!

SCCOE PETITION: CLASSROOM AND WORKSITE SAFETY NOW

Students and staff are getting injured in the classrooms and SCCOE management downplays, denies, and ignores our trauma (physical, mental, emotional).

We need SAFE CLASSROOMS for EVERY student.

We, the undersigned SEIU 521 union and community members, call on the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) Board of Trustees to drastically improve protections for student safety by:

Classrooms need to be staffed appropriately to ensure student safety
Implemention of OSHA directives to keep students and staff safe
Provide comprehensive background on every student prior to their first day
