Santa Cruz County, CA – The union representing County of Santa Cruz Animal Shelter workers released the following statement acknowledging a language error merged to a previously published petition:
“An online petition signed by 1,400+ residents, county workers, and community allies that called for improvements to county animal shelters funding and working conditions was incorrectly revised to include termination demands of animal shelter department heads. The original and correct petition has since been corrected and reactivated. The incorrect version that included the demands for termination of animal shelter department heads has been rescinded.”
The correct version including the accurate petition demands reflecting the 1,400+ signees can be viewed here.
