On March 31 we honor César Chávez’s legacy. He fought for farmers to unionize, have better pay and work conditions. SEIU Local 521 will observe César Chávez Day on Friday, March 31. Our offices will be closed for the day, and will reopen on Monday, April 3, at 8:00 a.m.
We had a César Chávez Celebration in Visalia last weekend, and will be having two more celebrations: in San Jose on Saturday, April 1, 1-5 p.m., and in Salinas on Sunday, April 2, 9:30 a.m. Join us!
In Salinas, SEIU Local 521 union members will gather starting at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 2 at the Cesar Chavez Park on 250 N. Madeira Ave. Join us as we stand up for immigrant workers’ rights and support the United Farmworkers (UFW) in their annual march. RSVP at salinas.rsvp@seiu521.org
