May Day has marked historical victories for workers in the U.S. and around the world including the right to a union, a shorter workday, and other valuable rights. May Day is a celebration of worker victories and what we’ve accomplished so far. However, we still need to keep organizing for social justice, economic justice, immigrant justice, and environmental justice.
From April 29-May 2 in honor of International Workers’ Day our Kern County members across the county came together to show that we are ready to #RaiseKernCountyUp to work for all of us! We all come from diverse places and backgrounds but at the end of the day we all want similar things in life. This May Day we honored the sacrifices of those that came before us and stand committed to protecting our rights for generations to come! We are Kern County; we are the #Union!
