Right now, our eligibility workers are on their way to Sacramento to fight for eligibility services at the local level.
Next year, millions of Californians will become eligible for Medi-Cal and subsidized federal health insurance.
Today the Health Benefit Exchange Board is deciding who will staff service centers to handle the surge of new applicants. Our county eligibility workers are the best qualified to handle this role.

Eligibility Services workers: Call the Health Benefit Exchange Board at (916) 263-2141 and say: Choose county workers to staff service centers for eligibility services. They are the best qualified, best trained, they serve the local community, and they provide the best services at a lower cost.
Read today’s editorial in the Mercury News: “County customer service centers are cost-effective and staffed with knowledgeable workers who know how to best help families in their communities. Let’s build on the well-established foundation we have, and stay focused on what’s best for all Californians.”
